pro mechanic

Finally, after literally tens of minutes working on this problem, I solved the front brake chatter issue.

I took the pads off and used a knife to shave down the trailing edge (as the wheel turns) of the pads. Since I could not adjust the toe-in on these TRP cross cantilevers I just modified the pads to assure that the front of the pad hit the rim first.

Problem solved.

Just because I hate working on bikes does not mean that I am totally pro at this junk.

I use a file sometimes….and a pair of plyers or screwdriver and “tweak” the toe-in..
