thought of the day

If the GOP has such a disdain for “celebrities” how come they all had such a boner for a certain celebrity up until he proved himself to lazy and unmotivated to actually campaign?

Just wondering…

They “all” is probably a stretch (I wasn’t a Fredhead, for example), but good point.

This was written by a friend about the “conservatives”:

Aren’t all of you Conservative voters ashamed of the way you have been conned by a bunch of white guys in thousand dollar suits? All they have to say is “No to gay marriage, no to flag burning, yes to free enterprise, and no to a decent minimum wage” and you all troop to the voting booth like lemmings going over a cliff.

The people that you have put in office are skimming, scamming, stealing, and hornswaggling you. Your wages have been flat for 10 years while your employers’ profits have doubled. They have sent America’s manufaturing base overseas, reduced your health insurance. and reduced health care for your kids while holding the New Testamen aloft and shouting “Onward Christian Soldiers.”

How long, O my people, will you continue to be flim-flammed by a bunch of con artists. The nation can’t take much more Conservatism and stay alive.
