Hey, David Gregory!

Respectfully, fuck you and the rest of you pretend journalists. You all should be ashamed of your conduct over the past 16 years and if you had any dignity you would resign from your pathetic excuse for a career, move to Togo and never ever ever be heard from again.

“DISrespectfully, fuck you and the rest of you pretend journalists.”
I couldn’t agree more. These lame asses just didn’t want their access denied to these corrupt jerks and liars. If they had questioned them in true journalistic terms these (thirteen letter profanity) wouldn’t have free lunch at the White House every other day.

Respectfully, I disagree. Gregory is one of the best in the White House Press Corp. He’s not the typical suck up who worries about losing his seat. Gregory does ask the tough questions and has gone mano a mano with Bush many times.

Could he have done more? Yes, he could have punched him in the mouth and stood over the a**clown and called him a f’ing liar.

Maybe. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t suck.

Please define “suck” for me. Have you ever seen the exchanges he had with Bush? If you asked Bush I bet he would say that Gregory is the one reporter he fears the most.

Did you want one journalist to stop the war? Isn’t that the responsibility of our other elected officials in Congress? They suck! They should have fought more!

    Hitman…
I would disagree with the Pres fearing Gregory the most. I believe Helen Thomas has done a better job (both in asking tough questions and openly giving her opinion about the current president) and has been outright dissed for it. By both right wing pundits and in how whe is treated by the White House.

via wikipedia (yes, yes, I know…):
“A December 6, 2007 CNN report by Jeanne Moos showed video of a seating chart of reporters covering a press conference given by President Bush concerning reports of Iran not having pursued nuclear weapons since 2003. The spot for Thomas was crossed out with an X and she was never called upon.[11]”

Suck - (suk) verb To do a shitty job. As in: here’s David Gregory at the press conference just before the Iraq War:

Q Mr. President, good evening. If you order war, can any military operation be considered a success if the United States does not capture Saddam Hussein, as you once said, dead or alive?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I hope we don’t have to go to war, but if we go to war, we will disarm Iraq. And if we go to war, there will be a regime change. And replacing this cancer inside of Iraq will be a government that represents the rights of all the people, a government which represents the voices of the Shia and Sunni and the Kurds.

We care about the suffering of the Iraqi people. I mentioned in my opening comments that there’s a lot of food ready to go in. There’s something like 55,000 oil-for-food distribution points in Iraq. We know where they are. We fully intend to make sure that they’re — got ample food. We know where their hospitals are; we want to make sure they’ve got ample medical supplies. The life of the Iraqi citizen is going to dramatically improve.

Q Sir, I’m sorry, is success contingent upon capturing or killing Saddam Hussein, in your mind?

THE PRESIDENT: We will be changing the regime of Iraq, for the good of the Iraqi people.

Do you want a list of pertinent questions he could have asked instead?

Gee thanks Kruse. You found the only two questions (essentially just one) that he ever asked.

How many can you find from 2003?

Ya know, though I am one who believes that journalists have been remiss on any number of issues (as a conservative, my list may differ from yours), I don’t know that cussing someone out is going to make a difference. What makes a difference is standing up to the plate and showing the lazy media how it’s done.

Like them or not, Fox is getting attention in part due to covering things that CNN and NBC are not. (and also by raising hemlines, of course) So are any number of other sources like Townhall, WorldNetDaily, and any number of others. They’re demonstrating that one wins the battle of ideas, not the battle of Anglo-Saxon verbiage.

That does not say much about the White House, or the Washington, press corp.

The Great Corporate (and Silent to their own complicity) News Media. Brian, Katie, Charlie and their ilk need to either acknowledge their network corporation’s failures or face the dismissal of their national audience. As messengers, they are accountable as well. Even Scotty grew a conscience, even if it was spawned to sell his book.
