This damn war…

AFP:

US President George W. Bush said in an interview out Tuesday that he quit playing golf in 2003 out of respect for the families of US soldiers killed in the conflict in Iraq, now in its sixth year.

"I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal," he said in an interview for Yahoo! News and Politico magazine.

When will the suffering end!?

Such a sacrifice! I’m sure veterans, their families and their survivors appreciate this. And yet, even this he was lying about too.

If he said he quit playing golf and sent the twins to fight, I’d feel a little better. He quit playing golf. What a moron.

Why couldn’t he just quit breathing out of respect for the 4k+ he’s sent over to die?

    –Or–

If Dubya can’t play golf, the terrorists have won.

I wondered how he got away with not having his daughters in the service. Oh well, he does wear a flag pin. Now lets get back to discussing Rev. Wright and his sinister plot to control the Universe by having a select few parishioners become world leaders.

Oh, by the way golf sucks. Id think anyone would look for an excuse not to play.

The chickens have come home to roost once again. The lobbying effort upon the oil/auto industries, have controlled the market in such a way that it shouldnt be any suprise that people are struggling to cope to raising gas prices. Over the past 80 years, We have had tremendous opportunity to make our combustible engine more efficient in gas usage and also more efficient with emmissions. (A 13mpg Escalade? This is what the Eldorado got in 1956.)But, there has been one industry thwrating that effort year after year. The lobbying efforts from the Republican industries of the auot/oil companies. So, have the chickens come home to roost? They sure have. We are now paying the price because a few greedy, yet highly powerful groups, have conitnued that effort, will continue that effort and will not stop until the earth is plucked completely of its natural resources. Its called ‘Wise Use’. Google it.

So, high prices have nothing to do with refineries or drilling, or even oil in the middle east…it has EVERYTHING to do with politics within our OWN borders, our wown history.
