"Gonfiato come i pompelmi!"
On stage 10 of the 1998 Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy), Gianni Bugno was stung on the scrotum by a wasp.
He finished the stage, and the next stage, and all the rest. He ended up finishing the Giro that year in 50th place out of 94 total finishers.
That is tuff.
I know that I am not that tuff.

As if I needed more problems…
For the past few weeks I have had the most irritated skin on my back, arms and legs. I found myself waking up in the middle of the night clawing at my arms and legs. During the day it was impossible to sit still. It felt like I was covered with mosquitoes.
I first thought it was dry skin from the long winter. But it was not getting any better no matter how much girly moisturizer I put on. It’s been bugging me for a number of weeks now so I finally went to the doctor yesterday for a diagnosis.
From some website:
Sometimes the disease can cause a more severe skin reaction. Some patients with this disease will have some itching that can be severe, especially when the patient becomes overheated. Occasionally there may be other symptoms, including tiredness and aching. The rash usually fades and disappears within six weeks but can sometimes last much longer. Physical activity, like jogging or running, or bathing in hot water may cause the rash to temporarily worsen or reappear.
That explains a lot.
The condition is caused by a virus. The condition is not contagious. There is no medication to fight the virus, it just goes away on it’s own. The skin disease is treated with Prednisone.
So I am on a corticosteroid now. Time to jump start the training program!
All you guys ain’t gonna believe how fast I am now. See you bitches next Tuesday night.

I used to use BlogJet to update this site. It’s like Microsoft Word, but you can load all your blog settings into the software, write your post, hit the publish button and up it goes.
I paid for it once but now they have updated the software to version 2.0 and they want 30 Euro to renew the licence. 30 Euro!? Do you know what that is in dollars? I don’t but I am not paying for it.
I downloaded Qumana and it works just as good and it’s free. Actually, it seems to be working better. And it’s free.
I ordered a new computer recently and elected to not have it come loaded with Microsoft Office. No Word, no Excel, no Power Point. Why do you even need Microsoft Office when you can use Google Docs? Totally free and totally compatible with MS Office files. The only thing missing is Outlook and you can just use Thunderbird and Google Calendar for that. All for free.
Sure, you don’t have access to your files unless you have access to the Internet, but how much longer are you going to find yourself in an area not served by some kind of ISP?
So how much longer are software companies going to be able to charge anything for their products with these free alternatives running around the Internet?
