We live in a Colonial style house. Mrs. Smithers thinks it’s too small and keep talking about moving. Hey, if it was good enough for the Colonials then it’s good enough for me. I guess I am just way more patriotic than she is. I love America…at least the Colonies anyway.

RAW STORY:
At one point, [McCain’s wife] Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, "You’re getting a little thin up there." McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain’s excuse was that it had been a long day.
Nice guy.
Who calls their own wife a cunt?
I have had long days once and a while and I would never call my wife a cunt. If I did I would be sleeping in the spare bedroom. If I did in front of three reporters I would be sleeping in the front lawn. And I would deserve it.
What an asshole.

Why do the commenters on Vs. make me feel like an idiot while the commenters on Speed make me feel like a genius?
I watched both the Bahrain Formula One race and the Tour of Flanders yesterday.
The guys on Speed who were calling the F1 race assumed that I had some knowledge of the sport and they spent the entire broadcast conveying their expert knowledge of both the drivers and the race. Even when I did not know what was going on it made for an enjoyable experience and made me want to study the sport in order to be caught up for the next event.
On the other hand, the guys on Vs. seemed to constantly want to “dumb down” the sport as if I had never even seen a bicycle before, much less a professional bike race. I think Paul Sherwin is OK, but he spends too much time repeating what Phil Ligget already just stated and both of these guys seem stuck with the same tired and played out euphemisms and metaphors. Plus there were numerous occasions when they don’t even seem to know what is going on with the sport. When Stijn Devolder was off the front late in the race Ligget referred to him as Tom Boonen’s former team mate. What the hell? Hey Phil, see that logo on the front their jerseys? It’s the same one.
Why should someone who has been a fan of professional cycling for 20 years feel like they know more than the broadcasters?
Phil and Paul should take a cue from the Speed guys and step up their game. Cycling is not that complicated but that does not mean that you have to treat the fans like morons.
