No racing this weekend.

Here is what it’s like to be in a Formula One car. Your ass is 12 inches off the ground, it’s hotter than hell in the car, you feel like you’re holding a couple of bricks out in the air, between the helmet and the crappy mirrors and body of the car surrounding your head you can’t see anything, and you’re doing it all at speeds surpassing 190 miles per hour.

No problem.

The 7 pound road bike

Velo News:

A German rider with a penchant for lightweight rides has put together a 3195-gram (7.04 pound) road bike that he says is sturdy enough for him to ride up to 1000 kilometers a week.

The bike cost $50,000 USD and is reported to “ride like shit.”
