RADIUS 2008

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

I am working on the RADIUS track series for 2008, it’s going to be even more circtacular than 2007 was!

An event preview, The Accelerated Points Race: A standard points race format, with the addition of a motor to accelerate the field. Every 10 laps the motor will enter the race at the front of the field. The motor will then take 4 laps to bring the field up to full speed, similar to a keirin race start. With one lap to go before the points sprint the motor will pull off the front of the field and allow the field to sprint. There will then be a 5 lap neutral period before the motor rejoins the field to prepare for the next sprint.

Totally awesome.

A loyal fan writes in:

The tragic shootings this past weekend in Colorado at the churches were stopped in the process by a Church security guard, a former Minneapolis cop nonetheless–coupling that with a Minnesotan (sic) killed an (sic) eery (sic) Minnesota connection to these deaths.

My question is this, why is there an armed security guard in a church? My church is the last place you will find someone with a gun. I just think it is strange to have an armed security guard at a place of worship. Am I the only one?
