The official was there at the runup. If it’s against the rules, he looked the other way (can’t blame him!), but I can’t think of a rule it violates.

I wonder how VW (the sponsor) felt about this. Personally, I think that it’s a hoot, but I also think that this isn’t how we want sponsors to see the sport.
