Amen. Four day weekend, no gift giving pressures, no religious obligations, just a requirement to be thankful and have a good meal. I can do that.
I think it was Roosevelt as a way to close the banks so they could eek it out through the transition of capital to pay for the harvest (the traditional reasons the markets go down in the fall).
