More drugs

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

VeloNews:

White House deputy “drug czar” Scott Burns blasted U.S. sports leagues Tuesday for failing to adopt World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) standards and indicated their leaders were enablers for dope cheats.

Burns, the U.S. government representative to last week’s Madrid WADA meeting, picked apart the National Basketball Association, National Football League, National Hockey League and Major League Baseball excuses for ignoring WADA.

“They don’t want to sign on because it’s tough and it’s specific and there are consequences and it will be monitored and cheaters will be caught and exposed,” Burns told reporters in a teleconference call.

Scott Burns obviously does not understand that the fans of Major League Sports want the athletes to dope to the gills. That’s a feature of Major League Sports.

Clean baseball? Clean football?

Boring.

President George WTF Bush

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

You know, I get really tired of writing about what a total wanker President Bush is.

I suppose I could just choose not to write about it, but it would be a lot easier for me if President Bush would just choose to not be such a total wanker.

Deep pockets

Frye has noticed it. Speedfix Racing has deep pockets for 2008.

Der Krüser
Boobay
Hanz
Franz
Baron Von Richtenstien
Gilby “legs ‘o” Steel
“Slam da” Dorr
Bing

Hummm…maybe it would take less space to list who is not a Speedfix rider.

A tip to the three of us who are not on Speedfix next year: F-ing kill yourself to make sure you get into the break with one of them. The rest of the team will shut down the race and you’ll have it made.

Teh genuine

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Hillary’s dropping in the polls while Obama is surging. A perfect time for Obama to ‘get real’ with the high school kids.

You know, I made some bad decisions…. You know, got into drinking and experimenting with drugs. There was a whole stretch of time where I didn’t apply myself. It wasn’t until I got out of … high school, and went to college that I started realizing, man, I wasted a lot of time.

Now the wing nuts are all up ins stating that Obama is sending the wrong message to our nations youth.

You don’t think that kids have already faced this situation themselves by the time they hit high school? Is there anywhere in Obama’s statement that seems to endorse the use of drugs and alcohol?

It seems to me that Obama is simply admitting that he is human and has made mistakes. That’s what people really want to hear from their candidates. It makes them much more appealing than some kind of über-candidate or “hero of 9/11”.

Of course, you can take the whole ‘genuine’ thing a bit too far
