Haloscan

November 13th, 2007 | Posted by Smithers at 12:45 pm in Miscellaneous |

OK, I finally dumped the last remaining code for Haloscan from my site.

Der Kruser, you should have no more complaints.

I am super pumped because I now know the future…of this site anyway.

Prepare for greatness! I’ll have some controversy coming up around 2pm CST.

Haloscan is fine when it works in a reasonable amount of time.

Haloscan blows a fat one when it’s slow and causes pages not to load.

(Yes, I am using Firefox 2.0)

Wordpress comments are much nicer. They don’t slow page loads down and they’re extensible with Wordpress plugins.

    Hi Smithers,

You may want to check our JS-Kit Comments and Ratings. Our widgets aresuperior to WP and Haloscan (SPAM protection, great moderation tools, easy to install and customize, Karma, on and on)

We also have a very cool Rating widget that lets visitors rate each post. The best content then flows into the Top Rated badge so visitors can easily find your best content :)

If you need any help or have ideas for us just email support@js-kit.com

    Best,

    Khris
