jroosh.

I don’t see any house key. Maybe he does not need a lock on his house door.

Keys

Monday, October 29th, 2007

A new internet meme!

BKW started it. (link corrected)

A person’s keys say a lot about them. When I was in undergraduate school my boss at the local pro music store had a key ring with seemingly 40 keys on it. He told me it was a sign of how much responsibility he had in his life. Actually, I think it was more a sign that the owners of the store had a different lock on each of the eight or nine doors to the store, but his point stuck.

Here are mine:

Not much responsibility here. Car key, house key, and the obligatory fob.

Post yours, or send me a picture and a story about your keys and I’ll post it on your behalf.

Super Productive

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Yesterday was the most productive day of my life.

Mrs. Smithers took care of the kids and let me sleep in. Upon waking up I proceeded to:

– Change all the diapers
– Vacuum the whole house
– Mop all the floors
– Change the flat tire on the double BOB stroller
– Rake and bag leaves
– Walk up to the grocery store with Mrs. Smithers and wee ones
– Reformat 20GB iPod hard drive saving it from certain death
– Ride rollers
– Do all the laundry
– Send sales forecast report to the corporate office

All this and still in bed by 11pm!

Mrs. Smithers said she may let me sleep in every weekend if I can be this productive. She’s nominated me for both Father and Husband of the Year 2007 even though I never got her an anniversary card.

US torture policy

Monday, October 29th, 2007

The United States participated actively and effectively in the negotiation of the Convention. It marks a significant step in the development during this century of international measures against torture and other inhuman treatment or punishment. Ratification of the Convention by the United States will clearly express United States opposition to torture, an abhorrent practice unfortunately still prevalent in the world today.

Guess who said it?
