Super Productive

October 29th, 2007 | Posted by Smithers at 2:51 pm in Miscellaneous |

Yesterday was the most productive day of my life.

Mrs. Smithers took care of the kids and let me sleep in. Upon waking up I proceeded to:

– Change all the diapers
– Vacuum the whole house
– Mop all the floors
– Change the flat tire on the double BOB stroller
– Rake and bag leaves
– Walk up to the grocery store with Mrs. Smithers and wee ones
– Reformat 20GB iPod hard drive saving it from certain death
– Ride rollers
– Do all the laundry
– Send sales forecast report to the corporate office

All this and still in bed by 11pm!

Mrs. Smithers said she may let me sleep in every weekend if I can be this productive. She’s nominated me for both Father and Husband of the Year 2007 even though I never got her an anniversary card.

You forgot, mowed the lawn and cooked dinner. You have raised the bar on my expectations!

You should never over-achieve. It only leads to hightened expectations.

Forget the card. That’s the BEST anniversary present ever!

Lucky for me that lowering expectations are my specialty!

    Geez..
You’re not helping those of us who make promises in order to go and ride/race.

    My productive father-of-two sunday included:
homemade swedish pancakes, house-straightening, farm-finding & pumpkin hunting, halloween craft-shopping, lunch eating, pumpkin-carving, craft-making, lawn-mowing, leaf pile-making, dinner, dishes and kid bedtime routine.

extra effort due to late return from RedBarn Cross Race.

    significantly late (yet again).
