Fred Thompson

Today in Iowa:

Saddam Hussein, today, had we not gone in, would be sitting on this power keg and be in control of the whole thing. He would have been the new dictator of that entire region in my estimation. He is — was — a dangerous irrational man who, by this time, would have been well on his way to having the nuclear capability himself. We can’t forget the fact that although at a particular point in time we never found any WMD down there, he clearly had had WMD. He clearly had had the beginnings of a nuclear program, and in my estimation his intent never did change.

Clearly.

Fred Thompson is the perfect candidate to pick up the reigns of the most incompetent presidential administration in the history of the United States.

In the face of all evidence to the contrary, proceed along the course of original theory.

The American people don’t want to hear this kind of crap anymore. It’s no wonder Thompson has to beg for applause following his speeches.

Im assuming you meant powder keg. Look at the polls. Nobody believes this WMD revisionist crap except the dead enders that still support Bush.
It looks like all the leading GOP pres contenders will continue to try to lock-up that shrinking group of staunch Bush supports and ignore the 70% of the electorate that knows the Iraq war for what it is: tha albatross around this country’s’s neck. Real smart strategy.

Your best post in a while Smithers! Is Thompson a worse actor or politician? I say actor because he can’t even act like a good candidate! He’s a dry arrogant fool who does nothing but bring the others down. Go Fred!
