Thanks smithers. These guys (lemond and armstrong) make me feel like a gleaming hub of stability and sanity. Sounds like a brazilian soap opera.

    LeMond:
    Armstrong has ADHD
    Armstrong has so much anger
He threatened to destroy my business.
I’m going through a personal crisis for the last year.
Trek called and told me to shut the fuck up.
My Dad controlled my life–that’s why I moved out to Minneapolis.
I’m not recording your phone call.

The recording appears to be legal in Minnesota, and it does confirm the Andreu/LeMond side of the story… not that Andreu is squeaky clean.

At the same time, it’s only obscuring LeMond’s point, since he looks like a guy with an axe to grind, and some very heavy baggage — that’s not a fat joke.

Cool! Especially like the part where Greg assures Stephanie it’s not being recorded.

Definitely soap opera material. Didn’t know Sheryl Crow’s ex-boyfriends commit suicide.

the best part is around 18:30 when she goes “I wonder what George Hincapie’s new baby will look like…”

    Brilliant!

I really liked LeMond’s denial of using EPO in 89 — “EPO wasn’t even on the sport” not, “I never used EPO or other drugs.”

I guess I remember things differently. I remember a lot of riders dying in the late eighties. Bert Oosterbosch August 18, 1989.
