Scott USA bothered to put in a handlebars category for their brand new site, so I’d like to see what they’ve got planned. And QBP with the Civia bikes.

Is there really going to be anything new that we didn’t see at Eurobike?

Maybe Campy will pull out their trump card against Shimano’s new carbon DA crankset. Wait, we’re talking about an Interbike in this decade…

I haven’t been to Germany in 13 years, but I do suspect that there won’t be much at Interbike that we didn’t already know about. Quality’s Civia Cycles aren’t exactly a secret, but they will be showing some leg.

Word to the management at QBP: blogs without RSS feeds (Salsa, Civia) are lame, last time I checked, emails to civiacycles.com didn’t work, and the Big Dummy has been a long time coming now, don’t you think (yes I know they’re slated for Nov/December)?

Just to keep INTERBIKE chatter going… and not so much to dog Campy… but it does seem that there’s the Campy standard, then the standard. But I’ll stick with SRAM and Shimano just the same, thanks.

You have it backwards. Campy is the standard.

I’ll just assume you forgot to complete that thought with “by which all others are judged” — as a judgment exercise for the reader.

Weird to see new third parties getting into road components though.

Sampson/Sturmey Archer are getting into the frey too. Take a look at that if you can Chris.

And now I see the reflective sidewall T-Servs so effectively shilled in another post on the Civia Hyland. The bike looked pretty exciting for a moment, then it crept in that it’s basically just a hybrid with sliding dropouts and a couple of color-matched accessories. That said, I’d like to buy the fenders and rack, like right now.
