“Don’t taze me bro!”

The Andrew Meyer clearly wanted to be a famous journalist.

He got half way there.

Or maybe I am confusing infamy with fame.

Is taking a megavolt of power through the body worth getting a shot on CNN?

I’ll take a MV to make CNN go away.

Good thing the First Amendment still exists.

I think the cops use that tazer a little quicker than is sometimes necessary. True, this little shitbird was looking for his 15 minutes but he was also pretty well surrounded.

This “Generation Me” nuthead was asking for it, but they probably could’ve just pulled him out and cuffed him. But a quick knockdown from the taz is probably better then a baton to the skull.

Ray, where would you get the silly idea that tasers get overused?

Led Zepplin mashed with tazer boy. This is living proof that Seattle has it over the rest of the country.

    Wait…what?!?

Meyer is charged with two crimes: resisting and disorderly conduct, both of which occurred *after* he was manhandled by university police.

Noted author Howard Zinn has stated that the problem with America today is not civil disobedience, but rather civil obedience. People are apathetic and are fully willing to live their lives in their happy little bubbles. Those who ask the tough questions, like Meyer attempted to do, are often met with scorn and disdain by the bubble-dwellers. Yet, we continue to wonder why our current political situation is as it is…all while the majority of us are unwilling to do or say anything about it.

I’m not defending Meyer per se, but rather defending his actions — actions more of us should be willing to carryout.

Finally, while I applaud John Kerry for stating that he was willing to answer Meyer’s questions, I am also wondering why Kerry did not file a citizen’s complaint against the police for interrupting a public forum after a question Kerry himself deemed “important”.
