    Heh.

This is like running Westmoreland for President in 1968. With Hillary Clinton in the role of Nixon, who also had a plan for ending the war, but wasn’t talking publically about what it entailed.

‘Course, the press was as supine back then as it is now. Bad, but not as bad as now. Alas, the press corps has been overrun by Boomers with deep entitlement complexes and a desire to please their never satisfied (and often deceased) war hero daddies, the ones they so vociferously insulted while casually protesting the last massive American foreign policy mistake. (That is, when they weren’t busy smoking pot, burning incense and trying to get laid…)

Norm Coleman is a perfect metaphor.
