Based on watching friends and my own kids…
2 to 3 - o.k. can be a bit hard depending on how much they “test” thier boundries
4 - 9 - As a dad you’re cool and they like you. Enjoy this as much as possible…
10 on - the teenage years are looming and then are upon you. Your children turn into a rollercosters of emotions and parents are totally uncool and a waste of time.
20 on up… they start to like you again.

    Just a warning.

So… was the audio clip just colic or somebody who really needed a nap but was fighting it? (As mine are 4 & 6… I only have vague memories of those days. :-) )

The latter. Having seen the former second hand I can absolutely say that we have it pretty easy. Baby Smithers has been regularly sleeping 7 - 9 hours a night. That beats the 1 - 2 (if you’re lucky) hours that you find with a baby suffering from cloic.

I think she’s reciting the finale from act two of Les Miserables, les enfant terribles du smithers.

Heh-heh, opera jokes crack me up every time.

Well with the laugh at the end I’m thinking more a family take on Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci myself.
