Deep philosophical questions

August 12th, 2007 | Posted by Smithers at 5:07 pm in Mobile Post |

Was the Earth (the planet) named after earth (the dirt) or vice versa?
What do you call an earthquake on another planet?
How come we could not come up with a better name than “The Moon” for our satellite planetoid? All the other planets moons have such cool names. It makes us look kind of lazy.

I think we should leave it up to the toddlers to name the planets and all the substances that make them up. My toddler called evenings “Dahk Ah Side”. Worked well for her.

I think the answer to the moon bit is right there….Pink Floyd would have sounded like total wankers if they put out an album called ‘Dark Side of Phobos’
