A 9am ride? I don’t think so. You need to get started a bit earlier in the day for me to be able to make it out on the road bike.
You’ll find that out for yourself soon enough.

It ain’t about babysitting or making excuses. It’s about the time I would like to spend with my son when he is awake.
If I can get out on the road by 6 or 6:30 and home by 10am that’s great, I have the rest of the day to enjoy with my children.
Getting out on the road at 9am and home by noon or 1 or even later? No thanks. I would rather blow the heart of the day with my family than on the bike.
It’s not about what I have to do. It’s about what I want to do.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to make the call until the morning of.
If Baby Smithers has a good night it’s possible, if Baby Smithers has a bad night I can’t ask Mrs. Smithers to take care of two kids under 2 years old at the same time.
I sincerely appreciate the offer, but road riding for me is going to be hit or miss until next spring.

Starbucks sucks. The only thing good there is pumpkin loaf. But even the pumpkin loaf is kind of overrated I’ve heard.
The only way to ride when you have kids is early morning. The 6:30am departure for the local Saturday ride is almost too late for me.

I’m only getting up at 6:00 while I’m on vacation if Smithers shows. Otherwise… tell everyone 8:30 B-Wood with 9:00 bandshell pick up ride on Sunday heading West. Smithers will bring Pumpkin loaf for all to the bandshell at 9:00 pulling the double burley.
