“They discovered they were going to get all the money from the federal government and they were taking all they could get,” he said. In essence they took the opportunity “to screw us,” he said of the funding grab.

“I’m in fear for the survival of the republic. People want to get their deer rifles out and go to the barricades.”

U.S. Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA) regarding the $250 million emergency bill for the reconstruction of the I-35W bridge over the Mississippi River.

He has a point. Our failure as a state to pay for and perform badly needed maintenance has, in effect, resulted in the federal government paying for them - only after things got so bad that the bridge collapsed.

Unrelated: Smithers, I can’t seem to see the most recent comments when there are lots of comment on a thread because they are being truncated at the bottom of the page. I’m also getting format display problems (for instance this comment block that I’m typing in right now is partially blocked by the column on the right side). I’m even using Internet Exploder. What gives?

    Firefox dude.

Skibby was having the same problem as you Dan, I have no explanation, we should contact the help desk.

    Der Kruser, what say you?

I *am* Skibby’s help desk, in both the unofficial and official senses.

I installed Firefox on his work laptop this morning and he’s all good now.

I’ve got FireFox running at home and I still saw problems. BTW, I’ve setup websites myself and have always had the rule that if your content doesn’t display correctly for Mozilla/FireFox/IE then it is not usable. It’s a real pet peeve of mine when people design sites to work better in a particular browser (but usually it’s the IE specific stuff that causes the problems). Don’t mean to be a pain. Just sayin.

Is it possible to install FireFox on my phone?

I apologize Dan, I have checked the site on both FireFox and IE on both my desktop and laptop PC’s and I am unable to duplicate the problem.

If I can’t ID the problem then I can’t fix it.

Your site looks goofy on Windows Mobile IE. Obviously fixing this should be your highest priority.
