Airport Cyclist

Four counts not guilty, one charge dismissed and guilty of:

Failure to Comply with a Lawful Order by willfully failing or refusing to comply with any lawful order or direction of any peace officer invested by law with authority to direct, control, or regulate traffic.

He was sentenced to 30 days in the workhouse but won’t have to serve a day if he stays out of trouble for a year.

If you missed the story you can read it here.

Lesson learned? Don’t walk away from the cops when they are making unreasonable requests of you.

To be fair, I think it’s unreasonable to try and ride that “Outbound Road”. I was just out there this morning, and that looked stoopid.

i fail to see how one can be guilty of a “lawful order”, if the charges were found not guilty, and/or dismissed.

    the system is ill.

I’ve had a similar run in with a cop in Elk River. The cop for whatever reason went completely ballistic on me. I’m more afraid of the cops than I am the terrorists.

Funny, just today while at the airport in a car, prior to reading this, I saw a cop on a bike patrolling the departure level. Almost stopped to ask about that case.
