July 16th, 2007 |It’s impossible to solve the problems in Iraq without a political solution of the Iraqis own making.
The Iraqis are making no progress regarding a political solution. Quite the contrary, the Iraqi parliament has chosen to take the month of August off. I doubt that they will be off vacationing on the Delaware coast, as I will be doing next week, but it sure is bad PR.
We can’t solve the problem of Iraq with the US military. They don’t seem to want to solve their problems for themselves. So why are we still there?
