Dissension in the ranks?
If you watch the final sprint of today’s stage you will notice Tom Boonen making a gesture to his team mate Gert Steegmans as they cross the finish line. Rewind a bit and you will see Steegmans box Boonen in a bit during the final hundred meters.
Just who is Steegmans working for? Does he maintain the full confidence of his team leader? Or has Steegmans figured out that he is sprinting better than BooBoo?

AP:
The government has concluded that al-Qaida has rebuilt its operating capability to a level not seen since the summer of 2001, The Associated Press has learned.
A new threat assessment suggests the group that launched the most devastating terrorist attack on the United States has been able to rebuild despite nearly six years of bombings, war and other tactics aimed at crippling it.
What the hell has the Bush Administration been doing for the past 5 years?
Oh yea…

Hushovd wins, Boonen loses again.
Boonen does have a good grip on the sprinters jersey right now, that has to make him feel good. Unless McEwen can get recovered from his crash and get his act together he may not be able to challenge Boonen for the green. Of course, Boonen has to finish the Tour, something he has found difficult to do the past couple of years.
The Côte de la Croix de la Libération with 8km to go in tomorrow’s stage may prevent the sprinters from being up front for the finish, or not. Zabel and McEwen may be able to climb fast enough to get over the top with the lead group and contest the stage. Can Hushovd and Boonen make the grade? I don’t know.
