TdF Pool Update
Saturday, July 7th, 2007Champs alerted me to the fact that some entries were not registered. I went through my junk e-mail filter and found entices for him, fasterjim and Burger.
Total entries: 50
That should be everyone.

You know those white die cut stickers that people have on their trucks of Calvin pissing on a Ford or Chevy logo? Lame right?
My idea is to have a space alien standing next to a flying saucer pissing on the space shuttle.
Don’t you think I would sell millions of those things?

Cancellara was no surprise. Kloden was a surprise.
McEwen looked like he was sight seeing, but then he does not ever take the prologue seriously.
The following move to stage 1 with 10 points in the bag:
Atherton, Macy, Anderson, Cornerstone, JimmerC, Kruser, Warfarkenparker, Skidsy and Zack.
I am going to leave the pool entries in Excel Spreadsheet form. Let me know if any of you have problems opening the file.
More Tour tomorrow!
London has really set up a beautiful course for the race today.
Mrs. Smithers and I spent a few days in London in 2003 and walked around the area that the prologue circles.
Routing the course under the Wellington Arch and the wall at Hyde Park Corner was a nice touch.
Pool update:
Zabriskie just got pwnt by Karpets.
In other news, Cunego is DNS today.
I’ll be updating the spreadsheet during the course of the Tour.
My goal, when I created this pool format last year, was to provide enough selections to to allow for distinct entries while not making the pool too esoteric. I hope it was not too much of a challenge to come up with your entry!
I had a very detailed prize list to attract entries last year, but no announced prize list for 2007. Last years Tour, and Tour pool, turned into a farce. Most of the prizes in the 2006 pool went unawarded. And yet 10 more individuals submitted entries in the 2007 pool versus the 2006, and from what I have been able to determine, every single one of the 47 entries are unique!
29 of you picked Vinokourov as the man to beat this year.
31 of you pick McEwen to wear the green jersey into Paris.
37 of you think that Rasmussen has a lock on the mountain jersey.
27 of you believe that CSC is the strong team.
Who’s right? Who’s wrong?
We’ll know for sure in 3 weeks time!
First points will be scored after todays prologue.
