Side View Mirrors
June 27th, 2007 |For years, we’d been setting our side-view mirrors so that they gave us a view of the back corner of our cars. This is the way it’s been done for generations – from grandfather, to father, to us! But we finally discovered something very interesting. The back corner of the car never moves. It always stays in the same exact place. So there’s really no reason to keep an eye on it.
Good point.
Tom and Ray then go on to demonstrate their recommended way to set up your side view mirrors.
I tried out this set up over the weekend and have been testing it out for the last few days.

It takes some getting used to, but I have to say that it really works. No more blind spot. You still have to check over your shoulder before changing lanes, but it’s really more just checking right next to you rather than back over your shoulder.
