Pan handling

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Which pan handler would you give money to?

The one with the sign that said “War veteran, please help”?

or

The one with the sign that said “Need money to get drunk”?

Working at home does not put me into contact with street folk very often so I don’t really have much of an opinion on pan handlers.

What about you? Should pan handling be banned or are these guys just practicing free speech?

Where do you draw the line between keep the street corners clear from crowds of people standing around begging for money and coming down on people who expect to be able to take advantage of the benefits of living in a ‘free country’?

Is this really still a free country?

Road Racing versus Track Racing

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Hey, in looking at my racing schedule for the balance of the year, I think yesterday’s race may be my only road event for the entire season.

I don’t have any additional events for the rest of this month, with the baby soon to be making an appearance I doubt that I will be racing on the 4th of July or at Hopkins, I am not planning on racing Dakota Tech this season, maybe I will do the Campus Crit on August 5, I doubt that I will have the fitness or interest in late season road races like Birchwood and the State Road Race, so what does that leave?

Track and maybe cyclocross for the balance of the year.

So those of you who were at the race yesterday may have seen my only attempt at racing on the road for 2007!

Sorry I sucked ass.

I thought I might be all busted up inside about the fact that I am not going to be able to race on the road that much this year but it does not seem to be bothering me very much. I guess I am just a track guy after all.

Racing on the road blows. Skibby knows what I am talking about here.

Douche Update

Monday, June 4th, 2007

June 29th is the date when you can begin your life as a total douchebag!

You guys are really going to love this thing! What’s not to love?

The first phone from a company that has never made a phone before, a totally untested operating system, a throughly questionable navigation system with no other option and complete incompatibility with commonly used MS documents!

But it plays music and tells you the weather so it must be totally awesome.
