Jerry Falwell eulogized on House floor today
May 23rd, 2007 |Congressional conservatives yesterday held an hour-long memorial for the late Rev. Jerry Falwell on the floor of the House of Representatives, extolling the “incredible and remarkable” religious right leader.
After 9/11 Falwell said this:
“The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the Pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say, ‘You helped this happen.’”
Ron Paul is barbecued by conservatives for blaming the attacks of 9/11 on Americans, even though he never said such thing. Falwell actually blamed the attacks of 9/11 on Americans and an hour of the peoples time is wasted in Congress.
Honestly, I really don’t understand conservatives.
