May 8th, 2007 |This website employs Google Maps to allow the user to create a ride route detailing distance and elevation. It is a bit more sophisticated than GMaps Pedometer. You can create an account and save your routes for later use. It also allows you to create a GPS file of your custom ride route that you can then download to your GPS device.
The best thing about this site? Totally free. Totally awesome.
Check out an example of one of my routes here. I have loaded this route into my GPS unit for the next time the Urthels ride out Stillwater way.
