My dad was up on the roof of his house in Coon Rapids getting rid of the snow. On the west side of the house it was up to his waist.
You have to get that snow off the roof quick after a big storm before the polar bears climb up there and build a den.
Too bad I did not have my downhill skis up here. I could have enjoyed the vert and the waist deep pow pow pow, plus the monster 20′ foot drop off. Totally super schweet!
A 20′ drop down to 18″ of snow would not have been real dope though.

Fox News poll: 46% (the majority of those asked) of Americans would vote to de-fund the war in order force a U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq. The percentage of those who would continue to fund the war dropped 7 points from January to February.
I wish the Democrats would start acting as if they had the support of the American people, because they do.
Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold feels the same way:
You know what? If the Democrats don’t use their power, when we’re in the majority in both houses, we’re going to start owning this war. It is George Bush’s war, but if we don’t get serious we’re going to start owning this war.
Redeploy. It’s what the people want.

Just in case you need a reminder of who I was writing about on Wednesday.

This linked portfolio of images may be difficult to view, but I think every American needs to take a look. You are going to be seeing a lot of veterans around this country, for a very long time to come, who are in a similar condition. Veterans who volunteered to serve their country and who paid a heavy price. If you come across a veteran who was injured in battle, don’t turn away, don’t avert your eyes. Look at them. Talk to them. Connect with them. Thank them for their service. They served so you did not have to. Think about them the next time this country talks about sending our soldiers to war. We better be sure. It better be absolutely necessary. The human price is far to high for it to be otherwise.
These are not plastic army men that we can send off to fight on a whim. These are the people that bare the true cost of war. These are the people that suffer. These are the people who have sacrificed to protect your freedom. These are the people that we need to help.
