Bombshell

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

I attended the NSC Velodrome monthly meeting tonight.

Not much significant to report save one item.

Super-Rookie admitted that he defrauded the Cat 3 field at the 2006 Keirin State Championships.

I starting drinking soy milk about 8 years ago.

I was having problems with acid reflex and heartburn so my sister-inlaw, a medical doctor type, told me that it was probably a result of too much dairy in my diet. I thought about it and realized that, during the course of ingesting my four to six bowls of breakfast cereal every morning, I was consuming a large quantity of milk.

She recommended that I switch to soy milk and soon after doing so I was very happy to be rid of all those digestive problems.

Happy until now.  Apparently all the soy that I am consuming is turning me into a homosexual.

Jim Rutz writes a World Net Daily exclusive:

I have nothing against an occasional soy snack. Soy is nutritious and contains lots of good things. Unfortunately, when you eat or drink a lot of soy stuff, you’re also getting substantial quantities of estrogens.

Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis, sexual confusion and homosexuality. That’s why most of the medical (not socio-spiritual) blame for today’s rise in homosexuality must fall upon the rise in soy formula and other soy products. (Most babies are bottle-fed during some part of their infancy, and one-fourth of them are getting soy milk!) Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because “I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t homosexual.” No, homosexuality is always deviant.

Why is my sister-inlaw trying to turn me all gay like?

And why was Tuffy looking so hot at Starbucks last Thursday afternoon?

All I want to do is eat my four to six bowls of breakfast cereal every morning. If I have to turn into some kind of deviant homosexual to do so my wife is not going to be very stoked about it.

Jared is having his wisdom teeth yanked.

Jared, dude, you f’ed up. Again.

You should have planned in advance like me.

I had teeth pulled when I was in junior high in order to make room for my wisdom teeth.

Well, that’s not why I had the teeth pulled but it all worked out that way.

Now I can effectively chew the ever loving crap out of everything because I have all my mashing teeth firmly in place.

Oh well, your loss dude. I hope you can take being less of a man now.

If you ever need help chewing stuff you know who to call.

Team Discovery is paying the price for their rapid signing of Ivan Basso following his departure from the CSC team.

Basso had been caught up in the Operation Puerto doping investigation and was suspended from starting the 2006 Tour de France. But he was cleared to ride by the Italian Cycling Federation and the Italian Olympic Committee in October when the doping investigation fell apart.

Last Friday the International Professional Cycling Teams (IPCT), a group made up of a number of UCI Pro Tour teams, voted to ban Discovery from their organization in protest of the signing of Basso.

Discovery team manager Johan Bruyneel:

“Now, we know we have enemies, but if someone decides to make this attitude a mission, they have to know that we, too, are ready to go all the way.”

That list of enemies may be growing.

Yesterday the manager of the Gerolsteiner team stated that race organizers should ban Discovery, as well as any team that sings a rider implicated in Operation Puerto, from participating in their events. Gerolsteiner team manager, Hans-Michael Holczer:

“Now the race organizers are on the spot. One important organizer, the representatives of the Deutschland Tour, have already taken a public position in support of the sport.”

Holczer is referring to Deutschland Tour organizer Kai Rapp who has stated that Basso and Jan Ullrich, another rider implicated in Operation Puerto, should not be allowed to race no matter what. It sounds like Tour de France director Christian Prudhomme may agree with Rapp which would once again prevent Basso and Ullrich from starting the Tour de France.

So while the original Operation Puerto investigation by Spanish investigators has fizzled out, the aftershocks of Operation Puerto may continue for a long time for Basso, Ullrich and the rest of the riders involved. If these guys do indeed have some involvement in this situation it would probably be best to just spill their guts, take the punishment and get on with their lives.

But, people don’t always do what is in their own best interest.

Mobile Blogging

The two mobile blogging options using Wordpress or Wordpress Plugins don’t seem to be working for me so far.

Ublog, via my mobile phone, seems to be working fine.

Your Best Race 2006 Winner!

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Looks like Courtenay wins the Best Race Poll, congratulations!

Either she wrote the best race story or has the most friends. Regardless, she wins the Urthel Beer. Enjoy it Court!

I think this thing turned into its own Instant Runoff Vote.
