Life as a dumbass
Saturday, April 15th, 2006Sometimes I don’t know how my wife puts up with me.
A few weeks ago she went out and spent a bunch of cash on a new wardrobe to go along with the new job she started last month. Apparently it is difficult for women to shop for clothes because it’s all so expensive and so much of it looks hideous. So actually finding something that looks attractive is a major deal.
Upon returning home with her find she was very clear with me regarding how these items should be washed. I do a lot of the laundry around here so she wanted to make sure her new clothing investment would not be wasted by me putting it in with the wrong clothing load. The message was: Don’t dry these items. My reply: No problem.
Then I put her new shirts in the drier…twice. This latest time I also put a pair of her new pants in the drier as well. Understand that I treat my cycling clothing like the damn Shroud of Turin so you think I could pay closer attention to the rest of the stuff I wash, apparently not though.
This last week I also put Baby Smithers bottles in the dishwasher with a bottle of spaghetti sauce and stained all the rubber nipples pink. Mrs. Smithers was non plussed about that smooth move.
Life is always interesting with me in the house. You never know what bone headed thing I’ll do next. I’ll keep you updated.
