Vacation! Life on the beach is everything it should be. It’s Rehoboth time again, one of my favorite times of the year.
Best french fries: Thrashers
Best hamburger: Gus and Gus
Best pizza: Nicola
Best croissants: Lingos
Best crepes: That French joint with slow service
Best salt water taffy: Dollys
Best distraction from beach: Skee-ball
Anyone who says otherwise is just smoking crack.
I brought the bike out here but riding on the Del-Mar-Va peninsula is not tremendously exciting. Flat. Flat and hot. It’s been getting into the low 90’s by 8am and close to 100 by mid-day. Good thing there is a big body of water to flop into after a few hot hours on the bike. The Atlantic has been a comfortable 72 degrees and is the warmest in recent memory.
